Kenya's Flowers lives on North Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City. It's a small shop — the kind where the person arranging your flowers is the person whose name is on the door.

What makes it unusual is what Kenya makes: permanent botanicals— silk and faux arrangements built with a florist's eye, so lifelike people water them by mistake. A fresh bouquet has a week. Kenya's arrangements have anniversaries.

And because forever flowers don't care how long the drive is, the shop's customers stopped being just from Oklahoma a long time ago. Orders go out across the country and around the world — birthdays, weddings, memorials, and a lot of “just because.”

Fresh flowers haven't gone anywhere, though. For the OKC metro, Kenya still arranges fresh — same-day through DoorDash, or picked up at the shop with a hello.
